Alexandra Prosser, MD, IBCLC

As a board certified family physician, I provide primary care services (ie. preventative care, chronic care management, healthcare screenings, and sick visits) to patients of all ages, including newborns, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. I have particular interest in women’s health, including birth control, maternal/postpartum care, breastfeeding medicine, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, breast and cervical cancer screening, osteoporosis, and menopause. I am also an international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC).

I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from The University of Toledo with a minor in entrepreneurship. I attended THE Ohio State University (GO BUCKS!) for medical school where I decided to pursue Family Medicine. I also had my first child while in my last year of medical school; he was truly born a Buckeye. Finally, I completed my residency training at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Family Medicine, during which I served as chief resident.

I currently reside in Vermilion, OH with my two children, husband, and cat. I am excited to continue to serve Erie County and surrounding areas with NOMS Huron Family Practice.
